Auction properties
Vacant, repossessed and probate homes going to auction, with the date, the guide price and how it compares with local sold prices.
What sells at auction
Probate sales, empty homes, lender sales and properties that are hard to mortgage. Guide prices are often well below local sold prices.
Why speed matters
Catalogues come out 3 to 4 weeks before the sale. Buyers need to view, read the legal pack and arrange money before the hammer falls.
What you commit to
At a traditional auction the sale is binding on the day: usually a 10% deposit then, and completion within 28 days. Modern auctions allow longer but charge a reservation fee.
